Master Book Binder Peter Goodwin was possibly the last journeyman bookbinder. He became the Library Manger for The Auckland City Libraries where he looked after the first Four Folios of Shakespeare, some of the most valuable books in the world.
Janette Miller filmed him for his posterity in his retirement years in his tiny bindery in Auckland as she was aware that bookbinding was a dying art. This series shows how Goodwin bound books in the traditional way and it a must for all would be bookbinders. Goodwin does it his way.
